The Pinehouse
Originally built in the 1940's, this 3BR / 1.5BA historic home was where the proprietors of the local grocery store lived with their family for many years. In 2018, we were able to purchase the property from this family. Our hope was to fix the property up to make it more comfortable and livable, while preserving its original character.
With much help from a carpenter friend, I embarked on a year-long project of restoring and improving the Pinehouse. Over months, I fell in love with this old house, and felt really good about preserving something old, rather than building something new. In bringing this special little house from the past into the present, I eventually connected with its soul.
